The US played a key role in the financing of mercenary groups during the armed conflicts of the 70s and 80s in Central America, resulting in over 1 million people emigrating. Those who went to the US were forced into common crime, vandalism, and drug trafficking as a survival response to everyday violence. In 1996, the US implemented massive deportation, transferring 200,000 people, a quarter of them imprisoned for being related to the gang culture, to Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador. This led to the transnationalization of the Maras, one of the most famous social manifestations of a broad spectrum of gang violence in Central America.

Nicaragua's opposition paramilitary intimidation and media terror campaign have brought fear, insecurity, and hardship to around 30 of Nicaragua's 153 municipalities. The Commission for Truth Peace and Justice reported 168 people dead and over 2100 injured. The opposition exhibit all the classic characteristics of psychopaths. Opposition political representatives are obsessed with imposing control by force and unwillingness to compromise. Opposition paramilitaries lack any empathy and attack with brutal sadism. The opposition media trademark is relentless, insistent, cynical deception.

The assassination of Robert F. Kennedy was not carried out by a crazed young Arab, but by a conspiracy that implicates U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies. His death marked the end of hope for significant political change through the official political system. To honor such a man requires that we discover and speak the truth about those who killed him.

The United States supported or covered up death squad activity throughout Central and South America in the 1970s and ‘80s. This included backing right-wing military dictators and brutal death squads in Guatemala, as well as creating the notorious Battalion 316 in Honduras. The US also supported the repressive right-wing regime in Honduras after a 2009 military coup, despite reports of its brutality and assassination of high-profile critics.
